Need to take some Pictures!!

I got a new doll today and is she ever cute. She is about 5" tall and has an Asian face. I have a little Kimono for her and will take pictures soon. I think that is one reason I don't post often. I am way behind on picture taking. I have been collecting the smaller dolls because I have a little doll's house that will be perfect for them when I get it re-done. The rooms are lined with fabric and it is cute but the fabric is too poofy and takes a lot of space out of the rooms.
I am thinking that if I write this out, I will get it done. If I quit writing and get to work, it will get done!

Almost Summer!!

It is almost summer here in Texas. The days are in the low 90s and the humidity is still on the high side. It is a good time to get organized or knit. In June, my friend and I will be taking a lace knitting class at a retreat. I will take pictures of the project when I finish.

I am getting ready to attend the UFDC Doll Convention in Las Vegas in July. It will be my first time at this convention and it is exciting! I hope to come home with a couple of new dolls, a couple of finished projects and many new friends. This trip will begin by visiting my doll friends in Tucson and Sierra Vista, AZ. Then we all go to Las Vegas (Bally Casino Hotel) for a week and more friend meet-ups. I finish off my trip in Phoenix with my oldest son for a few days. Yea! More about this when I get back.

Summer is also a good time to knit while sitting in the AC. Ordering yarn on Ebay has been a passion lately. Now I need to order about 100 hangers to cover with the 18b skeins bulky craft yarn that arrived. I also found some discontinued Lion Woolspun to make a vest that I like from their website. Ebay is a good place to get some great yarn and discontinued yarn at very frugal prices. I am glad that they let us knit on the planes now.

My plan is to keep a better record of my doll and knitting activities on this blog. There are many pictures that I need to load. Stay tuned, it actually may get done! And I would also like to include some nutritional recipes for the summer heat. Feel free to send them to me.

Merry Christmas!!

I hope that everyone has a happy holiday with no mishaps and joy all around. We have a new kitten who is giving us such joy. I will have to do a column about the cats and take pictures. I finally have some software that I can actually work so hopefully more pictures coming.

The next writing will be about my wishes and plans for the New Year 2008. Knitting and dolly sewing will be top priorities.

It's about time! Kniting thoughts:

I am thinking of making some shrugs for Christmas presents. Knitty Gritty has a pattern for a very cute one that is easy to make. It uses Lion Suede yarn. I need to make 3 and they need to be different and I can do that by using different yarns. Now to find the right #5 or Chunky yarns for this project. I don't have much time so will have to get busy! They will need to be in hot colors for this bunch.

Now that I have finally learn something about how to take pictures and put them on my new computer, look for some coming soon.

Home again and thinking about my stuff!

Now that we are home and the laundry is done, we are back to cleaning out my mom's house so we can sell it. After someone dies, the stuff that is left can be really daunting for the heirs. This is making me think that I need to shed some of my things and just keep the things that I really want. Not an easy task.
So today we are off to make a list of things that need to be done and items that need to be moved to my house before we have the giant sale.
These are the hot days of summer so working indoors in the AC is quite a blessing.

I haven't posted much lately. We are going to visit friends for a week and I have been busy getting ready for the road trip and knitting on the monthly washcloth KAL. It is darling and I will post pictures when I get back.
I also have some cute pictures of my kitty babies that I would like to share with you all.
Yikes, I am getting really boring. During the trip I will contemplate fun things to do with this blog. I promise!
